The first EHS laboratory education and practice experience center in Northeast China was officially completed
Northeast Forestry University recently completed the first EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Laboratory Education and Practice Experience Center in Northeast China. This center transforms laboratory safety knowledge from a dry textbook into an immersive, hands-on experience for teachers and students.
Theme Highlights
The EHS Laboratory Education and Practice Experience Center features six themed areas: chemical safety, biological safety, gas safety, personal protection, emergency response, and equipment operation safety. Each area is equipped with advanced equipment and interactive experiences, allowing teachers and students to master safety knowledge and skills through practical experience.
In the chemical safety area, teachers and students can master the correct storage methods for various reagents by using the functions of equipment such as modular safety cabinets, acid-base reagent storage cabinets, fireproof safety storage cabinets, and matrix-type IoT hazardous chemical storage warehouses. In the biological safety area, they can learn about the safe operating procedures of biological safety cabinets, high-speed centrifuges, and autoclaves. In the gas safety area, teachers and students can practice the delivery processes of various experimental gases. In the personal protection area, students can compare the various functions of gloves, masks, goggles, etc. to understand the protective wear requirements in different scenarios. In the emergency response area, teachers and students can simulate handling emergency situations such as reagent leaks and eye injuries.

New Explorations in Laboratory Safety Education in Universities
Over 170 graduate students from the Class of 2025 at the College of Wildlife and Nature Reserves received immersive laboratory safety education. The "learning by doing, learning by playing" model was highly rewarding. Wang Yulong, Director of the Laboratory Management and Conditions Assurance Department (Analytical Testing Center), explained that the university's EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Laboratory Education and Practice Experience Center provides a platform for faculty and students that integrates safety courses, specialized training, and emergency drills. This platform elevates safety education from theoretical to engaging, practical, and engaging. This ensures that safety awareness and skills are deeply ingrained in faculty and students, thereby enhancing the professionalism of safety management across the entire campus.

TRIGHT's Star Products at the EHS Center
From the outset of the EHS Center's planning, the project organizers envisioned utilizing internationally advanced concepts and domestically advanced laboratory systems and equipment to create Northeast China's most representative laboratory safety education and practice center. After comprehensive evaluations of technological innovation, product quality, production capacity, and technical support, TRIGHT's innovative products, including the intelligent explosion-proof 90-minute gas cylinder cabinet (equipped with the Kuzu TKF automatic air exchange/shutoff system), modular PE acid and alkali reagent cabinets, fully laminated fume hood lower cabinets, and integrated molded acid and alkali reagent lower cabinets, stood out from their peers and earned the project organizer's recognition, becoming the center's most prominent feature.

TRIGHT Assists University Laboratory Safety
